One of my memories from my last decade, that of the single digits, is tricking my dad into looking in the other direction while we sat in Tim Hortons, and sneaking sips of his coffee. Ah, the audacity of youth ... nothing better, and I've only gotten better with age. Well, by my standards at least. I can nearly guarantee that my mood swings will send you spinning in five minutes. I'm a nerd, a bookworm, a stage actress, a novelist, and a music fanatic who can't sing to save her life. I'm a listener, a friend, a daughter, a student, a best friend, an acquaintance, and a pest.
Some sort of chemical reaction happens within me when it rains: I go crazy and dance in the middle of the streets, hair plastered to my forehead, chilled to the bone. I still love to swing, but not when there are little kids and their parents glaring at me. I'm a history buff. I go nuts for Say Goodnight, Gracie, by Julie Reece Deaver. Go read it now if you haven't already. I was a group leader in Brownies, a patrol leader in Girl Guides, and chairwoman in Pathfinders. I can't stand sushi. I love brownies warm and fudgy out of the oven. I like Thai food. I'm not a huge fan of Chinese food, except for chicken fried rice and delectable chow mein. I devour potato skins a la Boston Pizza. As for the rest? Patience, grasshopper.
